Conditions: Centered in Spirit, Grounded on Earth, Balance, Live Beauty, Love in Joy

I didn’t plan this mandala. It drew itself. It formed the tree, I didn’t even see the tree at first, and I didn’t plan the heart at the center. But I do know that the one thing that matters to be is to stay centered in spirit.
Only now, spending time with it, am I discovering my mandala’s meaning and power.

Conditions: respect, adventure, creativity, joy, go within

My mandala contains a puzzle. Being a quilter I used fabric. “Swim with the dolphins” was in my cart, although I didn’t know why. In matching my words with the fabric I put ‘Movement’ with the dolphin fabric. When the ‘Movement’ word disappeared from my pieces of paper, I knew Spirit was telling me dolphin represented something else. I looked up Dolphin in the Medicine Cards. Dolphin is the link between the children of Earth and Great Spirit. With Dolphin, I am a link to some solution for the Children of Earth.

I may not have been on this physical plane very long if it weren’t for diagnosis of medical problems this year. This propelled my process to a deep level –to look at what I would want to have my focus be if this were the last year of life. The lotus signifies my throat chakra, which is where the surgery took place, and the need to express. I realized how much I had been holding in over a lifetime, so now it is time to express and blossom. The conditions came from my explorations of the emotional causes behind the physical problems I had. These conditions are what is needed in all areas of my life. The mandala is already transforming my life.

Conditions: Four carried over from 2011 & 2012:
Observe, Create, Trust, Accept … plus addition of Toltec “Four Agreements”:
[1] Be impeccable with your word
[2] Don’t take anything personally
[3] Don’t make assumptions
[4] Always do your best.
I included the full text of each agreement below to avoid cluttering the imagery within the mandala.

I described myself as “eclectic” before I took up collage – now I just say my life is a collage. [And likewise my mandalas.] There are only two true “requests” on this mandala – continuance of 2011′s “Harmony Happens” and of 2012′s “Soul Resilience” – reflected by the center/antenna symbols from those mandalas below the 2013 mandala. This is my continuity request. Within the mandala segments there are symbols for the many sources I intend to listen to, grouped as: Nature, Spirit, Myself, and Others; these are quasi-requests, in that I open to these sources and ask Spirit to help me hear their messages. The “propeller” that divides the segments represents an extension of my heart/ears … scooping in the vibrations from the various sources. The propeller is a carry-over from 2012, where I added it to show movement of the mandala as a “wheel”, and it continues to convey that energy as well as funneling in the many “voices”. No rigidity implied in the placement of pieces – all the voice sources, all the conditions swirl in a constantly-changing “musical chairs” manner.

Conditions: Intention, Prayer, Sacred Space, Holy Work, Focus, Grateful Heart

After seeing a real falcon during the last week of December, I woke knowing 2013 would be “My Falcon Wings.” I researched falcon and learn it is the fastest and most fearless animal on earth. My six conditions haven’t changed in three years, but this year I added two closing statements and put one on each of the falcon’s wings: I am one with The One and Love makes me Unafraid. After I made the mandala I had a “duh” moment when I realized the falcon’s two powers on its two wings are the perfect blend of the masculine energy of power and speed and the feminine energy of fearless love.

Conditions: Eternal love, Prayer, Nature, Trust, Optimistic Focus

The owl is on top of a heart which is on top of a pink circle which is on top of a rainbow. The rainbow is for the friend who wenton to the next life last summer. After I had watched “Finian’s Rainbow,” my husband spotted a short up and rainbow in the clouds before dark. As soon as we took the picture, it was gone. The ladybugs are from the swarm of ladybugs on our house–they signify spirituality and letting go and letting God. The angel is for the angel reading last summer where “Expect Everything” came out. “Believe” came from “The Polar Express” which I watched twice after my cousin had posted the song “Believe” on Facebook. I have had to overcome some interior resistance to put this mandala together. And after I did get it together, I wanted to back away from some of the things on it. As I have had to write the Comments, I feel there is a lot of power in this mandala so I thank you for asking.

Conditions: Nourish, Connect, Focus, Allow, Love

After a year of wrestling with old patterns and letting go of identifying with them, I feel like a seed, ready to grow and blossom with nourishment and love. The gifts of my past are like the apple flesh feeding the seeds. I am that old apple – providing the conditions for this new year of growth and abundance.

When I was cutting and pasting these random magazine pictures, I was feeling doubtful about this process. It didn’t feel powerful and I wondered (judged myself) if I was not really “getting” this course. Then, the day I hung my mandala on the wall, I received a new journal in the mail, entitled ” Journal to Joy”. It felt like a spirit wink.

I have been starting my day in front of my mandala and connecting with my conditions, and I am starting to feel a change in me. I feel more love, more focused, more centered and confident. I can feel the power of this process reminding me every time I look at it. I am surprised at how quickly this has affected me. I also feel connected to everyone through their mandalas and writings about their conditions. This facebook group has played a very important role in supporting, inspiring and encouraging me to participate fully and trust. What a beautiful journey. Thank you.

Conditions: Be love, Be light, Be Prayerful, Be Grateful,Be Forgiving, Be trusting of the Divine

I have had a small obsession with sunflowers for the past few years. I had no idea what the real reason for this obsession was until I prepared to make my mandala. The Divine lead me to see that as a sunflower turns its face to the sun to soak up the light and energy, I had been like that sunflower for many years now soaking up God’s Love and Light in the Silence. So the sunflower was my theme or main focus of my 2013 mandala.

Conditions: Spirituality, relationships, purpose, health, creativity, habits and routines

Well, the illustrations haven’t come to me, yet. Ironically, I used to drawbeautiful, intricately detailed mandalas not knowing what they were. Out of the wilderness came to me in a theta vision of myself “bushwhacking” through a dense forest. It sort of fits because I began my spiritual journey just 4 months ago and navigating the path daily has been both rewarding and difficult! I believe this mandala is a work in progress, but I am quite happy with my conditions and desires. I am grateful for the divine guidance and my L and L mates!
