Week 26--in which we listen to the ancient wisdom and blessing of the First Goddess

Beautiful Ones,

It's been an almost schizophrenic week. The highest highs and the lowest lows. The low lows are painfully obvious. The brink of war, the chest thumping and raised voices of the patriarchal brats. I saw all that happening and felt sick to my stomach.

And yet. And yet, it was a week of truly high highs.

Deep Soul Writing with Friends came to a delicious completion. In the end we were 120 people around the globe. Some who have been deep soul writing since Writing Down Your Soul came out in 2009, and some who found me last week!

After our fourth and final gathering, I went to bed with a smile on my face and when I woke, it was still there.

What a superb way to live. Especially in the time of collapse.

I would have liked to give myself a few days to rest, but ART 6 on Devotion is tapping her toes a tad anxious for Cathy Stevens Pratt and me to get cracking on creating her Landing Page. We open Sunday August 3. So you can see why she needed me to get to work on her information and registration page.

So I have spent the last five days trying to get my hands around this massive topic of Devotion. Because Devotion isn't what I thought it was. Not at all. Going into it, I viewed Devotion as a remembering of how we lived before Patriarchy when all of humanity was devoted to the Goddess.

The Goddess cultures stretch back to the beginning of recorded time and beyond.

Patriarchy, with it's obsession with war and domination and greed, is an aberration, a blip in the big picture. And it sure feels like we are living through its long dreadful violent demise.

And ART 6 on Devotion is going to help us move through that. In joy. With creative purpose. And with all the shamanic mystical gifts and wisdom we need to do what is ours to do to create Her Garden of Reverence.

By next Sunday I hope to have the Landing Page finished so you can read all about it and register.

So today, I just want to leave you with The Blessing of Isis. We say this at the end of every gathering in The Witch Sequence and without fail, we feel soothed, comforted, and strengthened. It's an ancient Goddess prayer coming to us through The Goddess Companion by Patricia Monaghan.
