A year like no other calls for a forecast like no other
2024 a year of sacred memory, dreaming dragons, and original prayer
Week 50--in which we begin to realize that 2025 is singing a song that has never been heard before
Friends, soul writers, mystics, witches, and lovers of prayer,
Whether you mark the new year on Winter Solstice, January 1, or any other auspicious date, we humans clearly feel a need to acknowledge that as one year ends, another begins. Over and over, the dying year begets a new one, and we celebrate that moment with hope and possibility.
Typically, this transition is illustrated as a weary old man bowing to a bright young cherub.
Depending on the artist, we might perceive the old man extending a warning or sighing with relief that his watch is finally over. This year, it feels like both.
But what if that isn’t the story at all.
What if the two characters, the dying man and the fresh young boy are one and the same? Not a linear story but a cyclical one.
As The Queen’s Love prayer says:
“turning and turning, turning and returning,
we are born and reborn into love.”
But I think there’s something even richer to ponder here. What if the real story is what we do not see.
The missing character.
Isn’t that a constant theme in patriarchy? Ask yourself who’s missing in the old man/young boy portrait? Why, it’s the mother. The mother who birthed them both. And who births the whole world.
And that Mother is central to understanding what is really happening in this transition of dying and birthing.
On this fiftieth Sunday of the year, it is always my great pleasure to invite you to register for my annual Astrology Forecast.
I have offered a forecast every December since 2015. And every year hundreds of you purchase the forecast. The forecast has morphed and expanded over the years from two hours with one astrologer to multiple conversations with multiple experts in both astrology and numerology to help us perceive a bigger, more multi-layered picture.
But here’s the odd thing. I’m not an astrologer.
I love astrology and am endlessly interested in the wisdom of the cosmos. I follow several astrologers, especially Star Sister Marcia Wade and somatic astrologer, Emma Kupu Mitchell. Celestial News with Emma is a featured segment in all my intensives.
Marcia dropped into The Lotus and the Lily gatherings this year and blew our minds with the deeper meaning of Pluto leaving Capricorn and entering Aquarius. A depth no other astrologer is talking about.
In my planning sessions for the 2025 forecast with Marcia, I tried to capture the stories of the cosmos as they poured out of her mouth. I’ve never typed so fast. Three pages, four, five, six. Listening to Marcia, it became clear that we are entering a year like no other. Whoever you think you are right now and how you live is about to be transmuted into someone and something else altogether.
Does that frighten you? Excite you? Mystify you?
It’s like giving birth. The baby emerging in 2025 could be beautiful indeed. Beautiful and Holy. Sacred and Powerful. In the forecast, Marcia and Emma are going to give us glimpses into the beauty that is possible. If—and this is the essential piece—if each one of us becomes full, active participants in the process.
Oh, one other thing. I’m not a numerologist.
If you know me, you know I love numerology. I always calculate the numeric vibration of phrases and titles before I use them. Invariably, I’m startled by the hidden message of numbers in those words. My interest in numerology started ten years ago when I read Margaret Starbird’s Magdalen’s Lost Legacy and learned that the bible is replete with hidden numbers in the original Hebrew and Greek. That explains why we, who read ancient texts in English, miss the meaning.
I have long felt that the numeric vibration of the year to come is an essential complement to a full rich forecast. And the vibration of the year to come is a nine. A NINE. The energy that holds all the numbers. The energy of the Creatrix Herself.
Oh. and one very unusual thing. 2025 sat for a portrait.
I sent Marcia’s copious notes for the forecast to Cathy Stevens Pratt, a mystic artist like no other. Cathy and I have partnered since the dawn of 2023 to create all seven prayer intensives in The Witch Sequence. Cathy intuits all the graphics and sacred images. So I should not have been surprised by the portrait she sent back. And please note, she finished it on Halloween. Doesn’t that feel auspicious. Even before you hear Marcia and Emma begin to describe the wild astrology in 2025, I think you can intuit the essence of that birth canal just be sitting with this portrait of Cosmic Creator. When Cathy sent the image to Marcia and Emma and me, we were stunned into silence.

I think it's clear: this forecast is like no other, because 2025 is a year like no other.
