A Forecast Like No Other in a Year Like No Other
Astrology is a sacred window into the ever-unfolding personal and collective story of the cosmos. The ancients knew this. That’s why astrology was one of the original subjects in pre-modern academies such as The Pythagorean School and School of Chartres. I have found that working in rhythm with astrology makes a massive difference in my life and in all I create. To help others experience the beauty and power of partnering with the cosmos, I began offering one day astrology forecasts that lasted a couple hours in 2015. Those forecasts were wildly popular.
But when the wild year of 2020 came to a close, I knew we needed more. Much more. I asked my dear friend, shamanic astrologer and depth numerologist Emma Kupu Mitchell, how we might create a new kind of expansive astrology forecast. One that could help us put such a wild year into some kind of holistic perspective and help us understand and prepare for what lies ahead.
Emma knew the perfect astrologer: Star Sister and Cos-Mythologist Marcia Wade.
In her 2021 forecast, Marcia shattered our image of what a forecast could be. She showed us that looking back at all that happened before a year is the secret sauce to understanding not only what is to come but, of even greater importance, how we can participate in the creation of that possible future. That forecast was so transformative, that Marcia has been our cosmic guide ever since.

I am a prayer artist, mystic witch, creator in the Theatre of the Miraculous, and mistress of the Threshold-the mystical theta brain wave state. But first and always, a devoted daughter of the Sacred Feminine. My first book, Writing Down Your Soul, was a surprising success and led to The Lotus and The Lily, Soul Vows, and more. I trust witch. I trusted her when she asked me to create The Return of the Witches Jeanne d'Arc Listening Pilgrimage. I trusted her when she asked for a year-long mystery school Re-membering the Songlines of the Witches. I trusted her when she insisted I gather a team to create The A.R.T. of Becoming a Witch: How to Awaken, Remember, and Trust Your Body's Natural Intuitive Senses. As that intensive was ending, witch guided me to see that ART wasn't one intensive; it was the first of 7 in The Witch Sequence-an 7-circuit labyrinth walk to awaken all 7 of our original sacramental gifts. As my collaborators and I listened intently to what wanted to be created, we began to see a sacred purpose far beyond anything we could imagine. We are here to walk this path, embody these 7 sacred gifts, and become a truly whole and holy witch because this is the way we heal the wasteland. It may be the only way we can heal the wasteland.
To do this profound witch work, I need massive amounts of time in silence and mystical theta. I think that's why witch is holding me in Ozona, a tiny village on the Gulf of Mexico, where I am surrounded by screeching ospreys, swooping woodstorks, and one very precious redtail hawk.

I haven't always been an astrologer. What I am is someone who's been looking at the stars all my life. My first memory is of the star we call "Sun" pouring light through one of those starlight-metabolizers we call trees, and knowing it was love, and very much alive. I have as many memories of stars from childhood as I do of my parents or my siblings. Not until I was almost 30 did I learn there was a language called astrology that decided maps of the stars. That was shortly before I first had the star chart of my birth read to me. On that day I made a vow that I would learn everything I could about these beings who made every atom of my body, and yours, and every quirk and possibility I contain.
That was 40 years ago and I'm still learning. Along the way I've studied the myths of many ancient cultures, I've made pilgrimages to sacred sites around the world, I've looked through dozens and dozens of telescopes, and I've read thousands of star charts. As our understanding of what this Cosmos we are part of has exploded into a universe of possibility, so has my understanding of what our stat charts say about us. One of those new discoveries is an edge-dweller named Chaos. The ancient Greeks said she is the primordial mother of all that ever was and ever will be, the fertile possibility of the cosmic creation grounds. In my chart, Chaos is at the Aries Point, where everything begins anew. In the 2nd House of my birth chart, she is my resource, what I most value, and the foundation of my self-worth. And more than anything else, it is she who has shown me how right I was to see the stars as love.
Cathy Pratt
I lived all over this crazy country, sampling places, but where is my home? My design work for the corporate realm was exciting and schooled me about overculture. I can paint any food item but wanted my work to shift into being of service. I've been in a searching mode my entire life studying tarot for 30 years, teaching yoga, studying crystals, learning about aromatherapy and reading everything theology.
20 years ago, we settled on the side of a mountain in Vermont. The trees, rascal chipmunks, bears and everything green grew their tendrils into my heart and became what I care most about, our gorgeous planet and all creatures. We humbly nurture our land, trying to make wholistic decisions on a daily basis for the pollinators, the deer, the water, the wind.
My art had to shift so I could be content and Her Sacred Image was born. I paint magical places and allow mystical beings to show themselves to me so I can make them more real on the page. Black Moon Lilith is my constant companion. She's a forthright ball of electricity who knows all the places to travel. Archangel Michael taught me about the divine masculine which frees me from my anger at patriarchy's wasteland. My ancestors are real and working with me to create miracles and wonder. Praying a feral rosary reminds me to walk softly, in reverence. My mystical everyday-witch life fills me with color and joy.
