2024 a year of sacred memory, dreaming dragons, and original prayer

Week 42--in which we take a moment to consider how to complete 2024 and prepare for 2025, the first 9 year since 2016 

Friends, soul writers, mystics, witches, and lovers of prayer,

First, an apology for not being here last Sunday. I was just back after evacuating for Milton and didn’t have the bandwidth to write a newsletter.

What a year 2024 is turning out to be. And—I’m sure you feel this, too—there’s more to come. Personally and collectively. We are all so raw right now. Fear seems to be rearing its head everywhere: brutal weather, never-ending wars, political hate.

Are you surprised?

Marcia Wade, consummate astrologer and cos-mythologist, gave us big clues in the 2024 Astrology Forecast. In the fourth and final recording, Marcia summed up the cosmic dance this way:

“In 2024 we are in training. The first half of 2025 is rehearsal. The second half is dress rehearsal. 2026 is game on!”

Marcia’s succinct and startling overview burned itself into my mind and as I live through 2024, I keep hearing her words. I want to get whatever I’m meant to get out of this year’s training, because I want to be fully present and ready for rehearsal and dress rehearsal next year. As someone who studied acting years ago, I find her choice of words evocative and actually quite helpful.

If only we could find the script… discern our parts…get a feel for the stage directions…oh, and a sense for the story arc…

You’ll be happy to hear that I’m working with Marcia, as well as depth numerologist Emma Kupu Mitchell and oracle and mystic artist Cathy Stevens Pratt, to create a 2025 forecast for you. It will be even richer and deeper than 2024. Which is saying a lot! I can tell you this much: the 2025 forecast is going to open with a massive, hope-filled cosmic story. Although things look shaky at the moment, the truth is we are alive at an incredible time. A time in which our decisions, choices, beliefs—even our dreams—can give birth to radical new ways of being. The stars show that it happened before and we are poised to bring it to life again.

Marcia’s summary of 2024 brings up some questions worth pondering, don’t you think.

• Training? What are we being trained for?
• What does the training consist of?
• What are we learning in this training?
• Who’s doing the training?

I don’t have answers yet. And I’m pretty sure you don’t either.
