Think you’re not an oracle? Your natal chart begs to differ.

Week 7--in which we realize we are all oracles. Just ask our natal charts.

Beautiful Ones,

Divination is not a skill you learn, it is a latent talent that has always been in you waiting to be acknowledged, tapped, and developed.

And there couldn’t be a more perfect moment to awaken this latent talent than now.

Right now.

For several months, astrologers have been ringing the bell about the massive and unprecedented changes unfolding in the cosmos. Changes that sure seem to be mirrored in the chaos and suffering on earth. This week, astrologer Dr Michael Lennox described what’s happening as an “extinction grab.” His words stopped me in my tracks. Yes, that’s what it looks and feels like.

Astrologers saw this coming. And they are telling us not to be surprised. Or afraid. Or defeated.

These are the death throes, they remind us, of the Age of Pisces—two thousand years of toxic, abrasive, abusive, patriarchy, when everything and everyone is a commodity, a source of power and profit. To get your hands on all that wealth, all you have to do is dominate, divide, and terrorize.

But if that age is dying, it must also mean we stand at the threshold of a new age.

An age we’ve been singing about since the sixties: The Age of Aquarius. A time of wholeness not division, a time when everyone’s voices are heard and respected.

And not just human voices.

The whole world is alive and conscious and trying to communicate. If we will just listen.

So it seems to me the questions in front of us right now include:

  • How can I learn to listen?
  • How can I help birth a time of wholeness?
  • How can I make a difference? (I’m just one person and a frightened one at that.)

Cathy Stevens Pratt and I hosted a live Q&A on Divination yesterday addressing those questions and several more. (It was recorded and will be posted on the Information page for ART 5 tomorrow.)

I opened the conversation with this quote from Max Dashu, author of Witches and Pagans:

“The oldest names for witch in European languages emphasize their spiritual gifts: powers of prophecy, divination, and incantation…the old witch-titles honored women as cultural authorities.”

This quote has pride of place at the top of the section introducing our 7 sacramental witchart gifts on all the ART intensive pages. It’s important. And it’s even more important right now.

In her book, Max Dashu devotes hundreds of pages to naming and describing a wide range of spiritual gifts that identified a woman as a healer and leader of her community.

But the very first she lists are: prophecy, divination, incantation.

The exact gifts we are going to explore in ART 5.

Obviously, divination carries a weight, a significance, a power that patriarchal culture and religion needed to expunge. Women with those gifts were hidden away, silenced, ignored, mocked, and worse.

And now the time has arrived to be seen, heard, recognized, and honored.

As the Hopi Prophecy says: We are the ones we have been waiting for.

That probably felt like poetry. Until now. Now it’s a command.

But how. Right? HOW can I be one of the ones the world is waiting for? Isn’t that just too too big a request? Do you feel like saying, excuse me, I’m just one person, one rather small insignificant person. After all, I’m just one in 8 billion. The powers running the extinction grab may be few, but, boy, they seem to have a solid grip on the reins.

This is where things get interesting. Very very interesting.

Because it turns out that you and I, and every one of us has the power of divination and prophecy.

Those powers may be latent right now, but not for long.

Not once you realize those powers are hiding in plain sight in your natal chart.

When I started to create ART 5 on Divination with Cathy, I didn’t know anything about the relationship of divination and your natal chart. It happened in a strange way.

The story began several years ago in an astrology consultation with StarSister Marcia Wade. It was long and deep and challenging. At some point I asked, “What’s that quartered circle glyph? I’ve never seen that before. Marcia said, “Oh that’s your Part of Fortune. It’s the most important element on your chart.” Before I could take that in or ask about it, she moved on.

But her words stuck in my head. All the way to this past December when I was in a seven-day-long, round-the-clock, deep dive into Divination. I was reading all kinds of seemingly unrelated books on topics as disparate as what happens in a near-death experience, how the two hemispheres of our brain create two different worlds, Greek mythology, and radical discoveries in Delphi.

One day, I looked up from what I was reading, and suddenly wondered about that quartered circle glyph. Did Marcia really say it was the most important aspect of my chart?

I picked up my phone and googled Part of Fortune.

The first thing that popped up was its proper astrological name: pars fortuna. Wait? What? The name of the Oracle who greets us at the entrance to the 5th circuit of the labyrinth is Fortuna.

Pars Fortuna grabbed me in that moment and proceeded to totally transform my understanding of Divination and all we’re going to experience in ART 5. I read everything I could find about Pars Fortuna.

The word that kept popping up was hidden. Your Pars Fortuna holds information about your hidden talents.

Suddenly the word hidden started jumping off the page in all the books I was reading. Turns out there are hidden mysteries in NDEs, in brain science, in archeology, in mythology. Cathy and I spent a couple weeks playing with what’s hidden that our pars fortuna reveals.

We settled on four main things that have been hidden:

  1. Hidden Lands—the alive conscious world that has been waiting a long time for you to learn to listen
  2. Hidden Talents—waiting for you to awaken, remember, and express
  3. Hidden Echoes—waiting across time for you to perceive from the once was and even the not yet
  4. Hidden Love—waiting for you to remember the origin and foundation of the universe

I asked Cathy, consummate mystic artist that she is, if she could take the quartered circle glyph and add symbols of all that is hidden, all that is latent in us. All we will activate in ART 5.

This is the glyph for Pars Fortuna Cathy created. Sit with it for a moment.

You are looking at your part in the birthing of a whole new way of being in a world that is whole and holy.

In ART 5, shamanic astrologer and depth numerologist Emma Kupu Mitchell is going to help us find our pars fortuna, and with the help of the mystic oracle of the Chandras, begin to recognize our natural prophetic, oracular, divination gifts.

And, if that weren’t thrilling enough, she’s also going to help us find and work with our Delphi, Pythia, and Kassandra asteroids.

Turns out a lot about our divination abilities is hiding in plain view in our charts! All waiting for us to acknowledge and tap our latent divination gifts.

ART 5 on Divination opens in two weeks on Sunday March 2.

Astrologers agree March is going to be the wildest, richest, most powerful and prophetic month of the year. Surely the perfect time to come together with a global community of sister and brother mystics to awaken, remember, and trust our latent prophetic gifts.
